About

The Mujahid Education Trust started its activities in the year 1976.  The first project undertaken by MET is the establishment of an aided UP School at Civil Station, Calicut with the recognition of the Government of Kerala.  This school was meant for economically backward class children who were not able to persue their studies at  unaided schools.

The Trust realized that there is growing incidence of atrocities against women and children, alcoholism, addiction, family disharmony, dowry cases, incidence of divorce etc. and therefore decided to take up projects like Family Counseling Centre, Short Stay Home etc.

Since it is felt that divorce cases can be reduced if firm relationship is established between the couples.  In order to unite the family ties it is decided to open counseling centers.  Thus in 1990 a FCC was born at Malappuram.  This project was very successful and hence another Family Counseling Centre was started at Kasargode during the year 2002. These centers where established with the aid of Kerala State Social Welfare Board, Trivandrum.

In order to save the person and their families from the clutches  of alcoholism  a de-addiction cum counseling centre named Sureksha was established with the financial aid from Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India during the year 1991.

A Short Stay Home was opened at Vengara in the year 1992 with the aid of Central Social Welfare Board, New Delhi, in order to rehabilitate women and children who are victims of extra marital relationship, illegal marriages martial disorders, betrayal of loved persons etc..
