Welcome to MET

Welcome to the official website of the Mujahid Education Trust (MET). Started in 1975, MET is a Calicut-based non-profit organization which aims to look after the welfare and development of women and children in distress. The trust is registered under the Societies Registration Act and has obtained Income Tax Exemptions under Sections 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

The MET continues to function in association with the Association for Welfare of the Handicapped. The areas of specialization of the trust includes welfare, advancement and empowerment of women and children in distress, amelioration of drug and alcohol addicts, educational advancements of deprived sections of the society and environmental protection.


Our Mission

The organization shall strive to provide

  • Counseling Services,
  • Set up Short Stay Homes for Women and Children in distress
  • Organize awareness generation programs on the challenges in a Society in transition
  • To expand Street Children Projects, Child line Services,
  • Start Special Schools for differently abled children.
  • Start Self Employment Programs for the economically weaker Sections of the Society.
  • Take up programs or projects of various agencies like State and Central Government for the welfare of women, children, elderly, disabled and other needy sections of the Society.

Our Vision

  • To be the leading voluntary institution in the state of Kerala, particularly North Kerala by setting the standard for rendering unparalleled services for the holistic development of human kind especially Women and Children as a whole and  economically weaker Sections  of the minority communities in particular.
  • To be a major service provider for providing services and education to the deprived section of the society.
  • To work against addiction of all kinds, through campaigns, and provide de addiction services.
  • To be an institution with the fiscal stability, facilities, and resources required to achieve the above goals.
